ONCE A UPON A TIME….

As Tezuka successfully started a new trend for shoujo manga, many young female artists, including now famous Hideko Mizuno began to follow suite. For the readers, it was like a “breathe of fresh air” as the stories were written and illustrated from the females’ perspectives, as opposed to what it was before. This phenomenon also created a path for the new generations of female mangakas in the years to come.
